                             Assistant Pastor- Matthew Vanderwarker



Matt is a native of upstate New York.  It was during a service at his high school retreat that Christ redeemed Matt.  A year later, Christ impressed upon his heart to be a pastor-teacher of the gospel. 



 Upon graduation from high school, Matt attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees. Pastor Vanderwarker oversees a variety of ministries and administrative responsibilities at Bethel Baptist Church and Bethel Christian School. 



 

Matt met his wife, Deanna, at college.  They were married in August of 1999.  They have three sons: Bryce, Noah, and Ethan. 



 Pastor Vanderwarker and his wife's sole desire is to glorify God.  Philippians 1:11 says, "Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God."  The Vanderwarkers believe any usefulness that God mercifully allows them is solely for the glory of God.
