Bethel Youth Group     "Building Teens for Christ"
Don't you feel like you are swimming up stream in today's world? With all the base hype, the worldly culture, and humanistic philosophy, it feels like we have no place to go to enjoy the wonderful life that Christ intended for us. If you've had these feelings, then Bethel's Youth Group may be for you! We have a great time with Christ centered preaching, and many opportunities to serve in the church, community, and around the world. The young people also have opportunities in the music ministry and children's ministry. Oh yes, we do have some fun outings and activities!

Community Outreach
At Bethel, we provide opportunites for the young people to have an impact in their /files/Church/young people .JPGcommunity. II Corinthians 5:15 tells us that "they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose agian." We exercise truth through community outreach. The teens are prepared and equipped for these opportunities during their Wednesday night youth group meetings.

Children's Ministry
Our teens help with AWANA's children ministry. They help with the AWANA counsel time for its young people. They minister to them through puppets, fellowship, and counseling. On Wednesday nights the teens have an opportunity to use their puppet talents by Bible stories to train the children. Here are two of our stars, Ralph and Elmer! Teens also help in the game time assisting the children and leaders.

Summer Camp
During the summer, the teens attend the WILDS Christian camp in Brevard, N.C. They leave for an exciting week of games, fun time, free time, Bible based preaching, spiritual challenges from counselors, and making new friends. They leave on Monday morning and return Saturday evening. Please contact me if you have any questions: Pastor Achenbach

Summer Childrens' Program
During the summer, we provide the children with a special program on Wednesday nights. A majority of the workers come from the youth group. Teens serve as teachers assistants, game time leaders, puppeteers, and crafts helpers.

Missions Teams
Every two years our youth group takes a missions trip. It is designed for every two years so every teen has the opportunity to visit the mission field at least once while in the youth group. The teens raise the money themselves through fundraisers and monthly deposits. Bethel Baptist Church encourages young people to be challenged to the burden of the mission field, and if the Holy Spirit moves, submission to the mission field.
